Ashley Lakin, MS, CNS, LDN (she/her)
Through my own personal health journey, I’ve seen the ways in which conventional nutrition care can miss out on some major underlying factors that impact one’s health. Even at a young age, I knew that there was more to wellness than simply following the food pyramid.
After completing my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I focused my attention on pursuing a more holistic approach to nutrition. I have earned a culinary certificate from the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York and a Master of Science in Integrative Nutrition with a concentration in herbal medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health.
As a Certified Nutrition Specialist® and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, I draw on my integrated education and training to uncover and address the root causes of your symptoms from multiple perspectives. My approach emphasizes practical, personalized tools and, just as importantly, guidance on applying them in real life.
My approach is intentionally not weight-focused. I don’t promote weight loss as a goal or use the scale as a primary measure of success. Instead, I work with clients to uncover and support the root causes of their symptoms, whether that’s hormone imbalances, gut health concerns, chronic inflammation, or metabolic dysfunction. The goal is meaningful, sustainable improvements in how you feel and function day to day.
I am especially passionate about working with individuals through all phases of life to address hormonal concerns, such as infertility, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, and postpartum mood disorders. My practice is HAES-aligned and LGBTQIA-friendly. I believe that everyone deserves evidence-based, compassionate care that honors their identity, autonomy, and whole-person wellbeing.
My practice is a space where you will feel seen, supported, and empowered as you navigate your own path to wellness. I’m honored to walk alongside you as we uncover what your body truly needs to thrive.
