Integrative nutrition is a personalized approach to nutrition that focuses on optimizing your health, rather than just targeting symptoms. It truly integrates all components of wellness: diet, stress levels, sleep quality, emotional health, and the complex relationship between these components. This approach prioritizes a client-centered model of care. I understand that no two individuals have the same lifestyle, preferences, or physiological needs, and we will work together to uncover your body’s specific needs. There is no “one size fits all” model for healing.
Integrative nutrition is also a highly collaborative approach aimed at bridging the gap between conventional medicine and alternative medicine. The goal of integrative nutrition is to prioritize you and address any imbalances within the body that may be the root causes of your health concerns. My philospophy is that no system within the body works within a vacuum, so everything is connected to one another and must be treated through a holistic lens.

A Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) is a nutrition practitioner who holds an advanced personalized nutrition certification. Becoming a CNS requires a graduate degree in nutritional sciences, 1000 hours of supervised nutrition practice, and a passing grade on an exam administered by the Board of Certification of Nutrition Specialists. The education and training to become a CNS primarily focuses on personalized nutrition through a functional medicine lens.
As a CNS is Illinois, I am licensed to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to help my clients learn how to manage chronic conditions through dietary and lifestyle changes.

Our work together will begin with a complimentary discovery call to connect. We’ll chat briefly about your primary health concerns and I’ll epxlian a bit about what our work together will look like with my services.
We will then book your 75 minute comprehensive intake appointment. During this appointment, we will discuss your health history, current concerns, dietary habits, and lifestyle factors. This session will also include a dietary analysis of a three day food diary and a nutrition-focused physical exam to look for areas in need of nutritional support. If you have had any lab work done within 6 months of your intake appointment, please provide me with those results prior to this appointment.
After your intake appointment, the real work begins! I will create a clinical game plan to best address any physiological imbalances and help you reach your health goals. We will meet for a follow-up to discuss dietary, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations. The frequency of follow-ups needed will be greatly dependent on each client’s unique needs.
Between appointments, you will always have email access to me. I am here to support you every step of the way!

Yes, Telehealth appointments are always an option. I use a HIPAA-compliant Telehealth platform to conduct all virtual appointments, so it’s truly as easy as clicking a link, logging on, and you’re ready to go for our session.
Please note that if you plan to use your insurance to pay for appointments, I highly recommend calling your insurance to check if your plan covers Telehealth.
